I’ve talked about this before.
No stories for you today, just some simple and easy to
follow tips.
So here goes; I’ve said this before, if it runs,
jumps, shits, grows then it’s good to eat.
So lets go even more basic and look at what’s in
your home because sometimes we overlook the simplest
of things and let it sabotage our diet.
Cupboards
Have a little peek in your fridge, cupboards, draws
and anywhere else you can think of that may have junk
food in it.
I’m sure you have a back log of food, sweets,
chocolates stashed up, cans and tinned foods.
So instead of it tormenting you, why not give it
all away to your local food shelter?
I’m sure they’d be very grateful for any extras and it’ll
save you the toxins, calories and
inches.
Plate Size
It’s very easy to over complicate things when
starting a new diet.
So to reduce your size and weight, you of course need
to eat less BUT include meat, fats, and a lot of
fibrous vegetables.
Don’t go munching in a bag of haribo and a cup of
coffee just because I said you need to eat less.
Think of it this way. On average people put on
6-14lb’s during the festive season. By eating
on a smaller plate not only do you consume less
calories but you should feel satisfied of seeing
an empty plate too.. (I hate wasting food).
And if there are left overs, save it for tomorrows
lunch.
Whitch brings me on to tip 3.
Meal Prepping (massive time saver)
Ok obviously this isn’t the sort of meal prep I
mean!
But since I’ve grabbed your attention, do you prep
your meals in advance?
Maybe not in the 6 pots a day, all perfectly measured
and taking up every inch of the fridge, but you know
the saying “failing to prepare is preparing to fail!!”
At a time of year when bad habits may have snuck back
in, make sure your prepared for those moments when
you’re starving and have no time to cook.
Don’t go straight for the bread bin, have a bag of
nuts ready somewhere and grab a handful of that
instead!
It’s not hard, you’ve just got to be READY and have
as little set backs as possible.
