Fat Loss Domination Mini-Series Part 1

1. Cardio can make you fat

I bet that got your attention didn’t it!? I get tonnes of questions about fat loss in general; hopefully this will answer a few of them. Now cardio training doesn’t make you fat per-se, but due to dieters training based on the wrong information, you may be working away from your goals rather than towards them.

Let’s think about it. The diet business is a multi-million pound industry, selling books, magazines, workout equipment and quick fix pills and shakes. If that miracle fix really existed, we would all be ‘cured’ and no one would ever need to diet again! Now of course there are some success stories, but overall it’s in the best interest of the diet industry to keep the majority of people fat so they can continue to spend their money on the next quick fix. Messages about having to work out longer to achieve your goals might just be what keep you from losing weight. When it comes to the fat loss, it’s really not slow and steady that wins the rest, and it all comes down to quality rather than quantity.

It’s a myth that you need to work out for long durations at a light intensity (long slow distance cardio or ‘LSD’) to burn fat! Now of course, this type of cardio can have its place in your routine, going on long hikes or bike rides at the weekend are a good way to incorporate this type of work into your week, and can be a fun way to stay active and get the family involved at the weekend. If you’re anything like me, a long hike leaves me starving and heading for a country pub for lunch, thus defeating the object of the exercise!

If you really want to lose fat, it’s been proven that the body burns more calories as the muscles repair themselves after you work out at a high intensity, short bursts of intense, muscle challenging intervals are much more effective than working at a light level for a longer period of time. The Fat Loss Domination Programme works by using High Intensity Cardio Intervals followed by Active Recovery Intervals to push your muscles harder, ensuring you burn more calories in your recovery time. It’s also more fun, offers more variety than training doing the same thing for a long period, and easier to fit into your daily routine! A fun, effective and results-driven way to completely Dominate Fat Loss!
