Nothing I can say will motivate you long term.
It might get you through a long day like today
or tomorrow.
But next week, next month, next year, that’s
down to you.
You’ve got a lot of things going on in your
life right now which is placing a huge amount of
stress on you.
Even if you dont see it.
But tough times dont last but tough people do.
A bad day is just a bad day.
Think about all the good times you’ve had. They
probably out weigh the bad right?
There will always be stress in your life.
Things will always test your patience.
There will never be a right time to start.
The right time is now.
You’ve always overcome so much to get to where
you’re at but you’ve probably forgotten about that.
When you focus on the next thing and not take time
take to appreciate your accomplished goals you
will start to flag.
So give yourself credit.
Might be hard to agree with me but trust me
you brain will appreciate the acknowledgement.
Long term motivation comes from your ‘why’.
Why you train when you’re walking like john wayne,
tired, fed and cant be bothered.
When you discover your true ‘why’ that’s close
to your heart, the simple daily blips wont matter.
HINT: It’s not about weight loss. Weight loss is
part of your journey to achieve that ‘feeling’
you want.
The feeling of being slim.
The feeling of wearing the clothes you want without
feeling frumpy.
The feeling of someone asking you if you’ve lost
The feeling of your partner noticing how much
you’ve changed.
But right now some days you’re on top of the world,
other days you could kill someone.
Not everyday will be a good day.
Some you’ll feel like shit.
Some days you’ll feel like you’ve taken 5 steps
4 out of 5 workouts will feel terrible.
You might get 1 good workout.
But when you look back 6 weeks, 3 month,
a year later you will not regret the time and
effort you put in to achieve the end results.
You’ll be glad you got up early.
You’ll be glad you train when you wanted to sleep.
You’ll be glad you said no to the daily donut
offerrings at work.
I don’t say this to de-motivated you. I say to
refocus you.
Why are you doing what you are doing??
Really why?
Once you figure that out, everything else is easy.
Because you’ll have a sense of purpose.
