A couple of weeks ago I was talking about
nutrition to one of my clients and willpower
came up in conversation.
She’s a relatively new member so she’s
still learning about food and her body’s
signals. i.e., feeling of hunger, energy levels etc…
Before she started with me the main
reason she’d always failed to get results
long term is because whenever she started
to diet and cut her calories she’d go on a
junk food rampage and eat anything and
everything that came her way.
So she’d lose weight and put it straight
back on within a week or two and feel
completely awful and disappointed with
herself.
It’s quite common for me to hear dieters
go through this phase every time they start
to cut calories. It’s de-motivating and it
sets people up for failure from the start.
So my client was starting to experience
this again and in her frustration said
“what’s wrong with me?” My reply…
“absolutely nothing”.
See our body is a survival machine and
when we reduce our calorie intake too
much, it sends our brain the signal to
go out and search for food.
So in my client’s case and probably
yours, she felt like she was losing all
control to stop herself from eating
everything in her path.
There is a very simple cure for the
problem;
1. To eat more carbs after training
2. Not to restrict calories. With a single day
re-feed of the right type of food, my client was
back to normal, feeling fit and alive again.
This is something the dieting clubs don’t
teach you. Which is a shame because without
understanding how your body works, you are
only guessing what is best for you.
If you want to discover the better way to diet
and get the body you want join us this Thursday
evening at my weight loss workshop.
Look forward to seeing you there!
