Boot Camp Bournemouth - Have you got it in you??

Good afternoon and happy Friday to you!

FINALLY the sun is doing it’s job for once, so let’s hope it lasts longer than 24 hours this time!

I’m writing this post whilst sitting in the Café at Bournemouth airport (very excited & nervous) with a cheeky coffee! Shhhh! Don’t tell anyone…

If you’re a regular reader of my blogs then you’ll know by now that I’ve been approached by a hotel in Portugal to help them set up a retreat at The Cascade Resort from scratch. This is actually my first visit to Portugal and The Cascade which is why I am excited. The reason I am nervous is because this is something TOTALLY new to me.

From what I’ve been told by the marketing team based in the UK, The Cascade is just on another level for their service, entertainment, food, the location - apparently once I’m their I’ll never want to leave! It’s a big opportunity, which I couldn’t turn down and I’m very honoured to be trusted with such a huge responsibility.

All of this happening in such a short space of time really made me think about the last 2 years of my life. Back then, it was only a dream to be where I am now with the business and Portugal. I used to say to myself “What will I be doing 2, 3, 4 years from now?” thinking about it, I still say it to myself now… I guess that’s human nature to imagine what you think you will be doing in years to come. I’ve thought a lot about the people I looked up to in my industry who are very successful within the fitness world. My mind set back then initially was about the starting process to my career. I knew I wanted to start fitness camps and deliver a program that changed people’s lives, but I didn’t know anything about the business side, the sales, the marketing, the whole business aspect! How do I get there? What do I need to do? How much do I need to spend a month? I was clueless and very impatient because I wanted it now. Does that sound familiar to you?? My mind set now compared to it 2 years ago, it’s a whole other world now with ideas, projects, retreats, the list is endless. People ask me now is it too much stress, all this pressure, all this responsibility? My answer is “No” as I would never see myself doing a 9 to 5 job, I mean no disrespect to those who do, just saying it wasn’t for me so I chose this path.

As you probably know starting a journey is never easy in the beginning, it can be very daunting. That fear alone puts a lot of people of from starting something amazing! I thought to myself I have to start somewhere… wouldn’t you agree?? Successful people start from the beginning in all aspects of life. They didn’t have a pocketful of cash and a massive bank account.

So I took the first step and launched Jango Health & Fitness officially in January of last year! I would never have guessed what I’d be doing now from when I started back in Jan 2011, but I carried on moving forwards and learnt from my mistakes and have never looked back!

You might be saying this doesn’t relate to me - Blah blah blah, but you know what? It does.

Ok so if this was change to the health route you might be thinking it’s not the right time for me to start a good eating plan, I’m not in the right place to exercise… guess what??? There never will be a perfect time to get started. I say to myself, to my clients, to my family and to people that are in the fitness industry! Procrastinating about an idea and a goal you want to achieve will get you NO WHERE! It will make you stressed, upset, quite possibly depressed BECAUSE you aren’t taking action on what you want.

Get started on your goals and improve on your steps along the way. Get the right help, the right education, the right training so you can achieve the body you deserve! And it all comes down to you taking action! So feel the fear, and do it anyway and achieve all that you want out of fitness and life!

Jango
