Imagine having a pet monkey that slaps
you on the hand when you reach for that
KitKat in your kids draw.
OK I have not been to monkey world
for a while now.
You might have guessed, I like to watch TV.
I don’t watch it much but you can’t
beat watching a good movie or an episode
of the Big Bang Theory.
Then you also get to watch some silly
adverts with monkey’s in them which are
actually quite funny.
Anyway, unless you’ve got kids who
know you’re being good.
You won’t have anyone telling you
‘No!’ when you reach for something
naughty. Just your conscious…
Instead of stealing one from Monkey
world, you can draw your own ‘monkey
eye’ on post it notes, watching over
your every move.
Then stick’m in your naughty draw, on your
bread tin, on the ice cream in your
freezer, in your secret stash in
your car and even on desktop screen
for when the lunch man comes round with
all the ‘goodies’
The ‘eye of the monkey’…
———- Truth Alert————-
The highly likely reason why you
always attack the biscuit tin when
you don’t know why, is due to either
stress or boredom.
So you’re looking to occupy your time.
So we resort to food to fill this
gap.
And normally this happens mindlessly.
***Remember no amount of food can ever
satisfy boredom.***
———- Truth Alert————-
Whenever you see your Monkey eye, use
it to asses if you are really hungry or
your just looking for something to do.
Mindfully!
Then make a logical decision, not just
for the sake of it.
Or just go and buy yourself a Monkey.
Good luck training it.

PS My Mrs calls me a Monkey when I slap
her hand when she goes for the
chocolate.
Maybe you can save the pennies and train
your other half instead?
