Do you have a home gym?
Do you have a treadmill in one of your
rooms?
In the boudoir?
Or in the lounge staring at you daily??
Reminding you of what you should be doing
instead of watching the TV in the evening.
Personally, I think home gyms are a massive
headache.
A waste of money.
Unless you have the motivation of a royal
marine then the novelty wears off pretty
damn quick.
I’ve got a PT friend who sold his car
to reinvest the dollar in a brand new home
gym.
He spent 6 grand doing it up and kitting
it out.
Now, hes got 2 kids and uses the gym
as storage for all the kids toys.
“Waste of money” you say…
I agree.
For me, I like to keep things flexible.
Low cost.
And results high.
To start with, functional movement is the
single most effective way to burn fat.
AKA body weight exercises.
Once you’ve got the hang of using your own
muscles to stabilise your body, you
can work on introducing resistance training
into your program.
So you’d be better off to start with just
a pair of adjustable dumbbells and a couple of
different strength resistance bands.
And investing in the PROPER coaching to
help you lose fat and become body confident.
Unless you’ve got a gym on the top floor with
a breath taking view of a major city then
I’d rather have the space free in my home.
It doesn’t matter where you stick a
treadmill it’s always going to annoy you
and get in the way.
Best have plenty of space for it if you are
planning on getting one.
Or have somewhere it can be out of site, out
of mind, when you’re not using it.
Like a garage or basement.
Where you can’t hang your clothes on it.
For me, home equipment are best seen on
the back of someone else’s truck heading out
of town.
